The Challenge:

The FSA needed to get more information from banks about their exposure to risk and while there was a project being completed to allow banks to do this electronically this was still some time off completion but the data was required now

The Critical Success Factors:

The platform for financial institutions needed to be robust, any weakness would make the banks wary of submitting sensitive data. By the very nature security was high on the agenda, and obviously as it was an interim system it needed to be developed in a very short timescale

The Solution

A bespoke .NET application allowing the submission of data items with secure access codes, data storage in the FSA Oracle data center for reporting and analysis.
